Deep River Partners received top honors at the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Design Excellence Awards, held March 12. This French transitional residence in North Milwaukee County earned the Platinum Award for Entire Residence over 3,000 square feet. The traditional inspired home was renovated to incorporate the homeowner’s cleaner, transitional aesthetic, while enhancing the function of the overall living spaces.
“Our design solution was to expand into existing attic space to allow us to divide the bathroom into three parts,” said Erickson. “Separated by arched cased openings to relate to architectural elements of the home, the shower and toilet, vanity, and freestanding tub are functionally divided yet flow beautifully together in this space. The palette of the room creates a relaxing escape, and the faux skylight adds the element of natural light that was missing.”
