We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Design Associate to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and execution of exceptional residential projects while working closely with project architects, interior designers, consultants, and clients in a highly collaborative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams with residential design, drafting, and project documentation.
  • Support the development of schematic design, design development, and construction document packages.
  • Produce drawings, renderings, and presentation materials for client meetings and project presentations.
  • Develop and maintain BIM models and drawing sets throughout all phases of project development.
  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, and documentation of existing conditions.
  • Coordinate with contractors and respond to field questions during construction.
  • Research products, materials, finishes, and building systems for project integration.
  • Assist in coordinating consultant information and construction team input; experience integrating structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty consultants is a plus.
  • Help prepare specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Participate in code research, zoning analysis, and permitting coordination.
  • Collaborate effectively within a small, team-oriented studio environment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Studies.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Strong design, graphic, and visualization skills.
  • Experience with CAD or BIM software required, ArchiCAD experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling and visualization software in Lumion, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, with the ability to prepare project correspondence, schedules, and reports.
  • Basic understanding of residential construction methods and detailing.
  • Experience in residential design and custom home architecture a plus.
  • Architectural licensure track or pursuit of licensure is a plus.
