
Full-Time Opportunity in our Milwaukee, WI Studio
Deep River Partners, Ltd., an award-winning residential architecture and interior design firm, is seeking a talented and motivated Project Architect to join our collaborative studio. This is a unique opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to high-end residential designs that blend creativity, craftsmanship, and client-focused service. Deep River specializes in luxury single-family projects, including custom homes, remodels, legacy estates, historic renovations, and luxury condominiums tailored to how our clients want to live. Our combined architecture, interior design, and furnishings services are delivered in a full-service approach that guides clients through every step of the journey, ensuring they understand the market value of their project. We translate big ideas into clear and detailed construction documents to produce their vision for a truly extraordinary home.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead projects through all phases: programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
- Create collaborative design solutions and communicate professional services effectively.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and referral networks.
- Manage client expectations from initial contact through project completion.
- Collaborate with design associates and consultants to create designs that respond to the client and their unique properties / spaces.
- Coordinate structural, mechanical, lighting, and site consultants.
- Conduct code research and document existing conditions.
- Manage product selections and specifications.
- Supervise small project teams and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
- Collaborate closely with Deep River Interior Designers to ensure cohesive design solutions that connect architecture with interior design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architectural sciences
- Architecture License in Wisconsin (preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience
- Experience in luxury residential design (preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (ArchiCAD preferred)
- Familiarity with rendering software (Lumion preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks and Photoshop
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in architectural detailing
- Knowledge of light-frame wood construction and detailing (preferred)
- Experience in writing construction specification (preferred)
