We are pleased to announce the addition of Taylor Korslin to our Architecture team as a Design Associate.
From a young age, Korslin found an outlet for his creativity through design, starting with model railroads built with his grandfather and progressing to drawing floor plans of homes and golf courses. His inspiration is drawn from natural and urban environments, whether the towering pines around northern lakes or the intricate fabric of a dense city. His appreciation for the urban landscape was further cultivated during his studies abroad in Europe, where he experienced world-class art and architecture.
Originally from Valders, near Manitowoc, WI, Korslin graduated from Valders High School and pursued higher education at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree. He then advanced his studies at the University of Michigan, obtaining a Master of Architecture degree.
Korslin brings a wealth of experience to Deep River Partners, having worked on projects of various scales in commercial, municipal, and residential sectors. He is currently on the path to achieving his architecture licensure in the State of Wisconsin. The rigorous process includes earning an accredited architectural degree, gaining numerous hours of hands-on experience under a supervising architect, and passing the comprehensive ARE exams. Beyond his professional endeavors, Korslin is deeply involved in his community. He serves as a Board Member of the Downtown Neighbors Association; a Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee; and a Volunteer with Rethink 794, an initiative advocating for the transformation of an underutilized freeway in Milwaukee. His renderings for Rethink 794 have been featured in over 20 local and national publications.
“Taylor’s contributions have enriched the design team with a blend of practical knowledge, insightful problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. His innovative solutions support the main design themes that result in a fulfilling experience for our clients. We look forward to the fresh perspectives and expertise Taylor Korslin brings to our firm and our clients.,” said Richard Sherer, CEO/Founder of Deep River Partners.
