Screen Porch Addition

A large wrap-around screen porch addition furthers the Queen Anne style of the original house while defining distinct zones for outdoor enjoyment. A formal outdoor dining space that accommodates table seating for 16 is lit by gas flame sconces. A seating group for 8 is centered below a vaulted ceiling with a pyramid skylight that captures light filtered through the trees. A flat screen TV retracts into a custom cabinet hidden from view when not in use.

The outdoor kitchen features a wine refrigerator, beer tap, and custom cabinets with back lit leaded glass doors. An in-cabinet outdoor grill is stationed directly outside the porch kitchen. Casual seating near the whirlpool boasts panoramic waterfront views.

The deck on the screened porch is made of a sustainable tropical hardwood. It has the look of a traditional wood deck but has enhanced performance characteristics one would expect in a luxury home. The screen windows and doors are designed to have a minimal presence to maintain an open porch feel, take on lake breezes, and maximize panoramic waterfront views.
