Job Description
Deep River Partners, Ltd., a leading architecture and interior design firm, is looking for motivated individuals to join our award-winning team as a Project Architect. Our collaborative studio culture encourages personal and professional growth and provides opportunities to work in the luxury single family residential market. In working with clients and design associates to complete schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration, the candidate would embody and successfully perform the following:
- Attract and maintain an active client referral network
- Utilize effective communication skills to sell professional services and design solutions
- Manage client expectations from initial contact through move in
- Possess creative design sensibilities that accurately respond to client and contextual parameters
- Perform daily routines with a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism
- Apply knowledge of building design and style, utilizing a team approach, to produce stimulating well designed projects that attract recognition
- Working knowledge and expertise in CAD / BIM, building components and detailing, interiors integration, consultant (structural, site, mechanical, lighting) integration, code interpretation, and rendering and drawing skills
- Ability to manage a small team environment effectively
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with clients and team members
- Ability to coordinate and integrate the work of structural, HVAC, lighting consultants and construction team
- Light frame wood construction knowledge of components and detailing
- Specification writing experience
- Ability to manage and integrate product selections and put in schedule form
- Ability to conduct code research and document existing conditions
- Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s in Architectural Sciences (Master’s preferred)
- Wisconsin State Architect Licensure preferred
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Work/sales experience in the luxury home design industry preferred
- Experience with the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks, CAD drafting, and Post-production visualization skills (Photoshop, Lumion, etc.) preferred
