Deep River Wins Midwest Award – Chrysalis Remodeling Award

Deep River Partners, Milwaukee, recently received a 2018 Chrysalis Award for Remodeling Excellence. The firm was honored with the Midwest Award for its Whole Home Remodel Over $700,000 (located in The Third Ward). Firms from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin submitted projects for this category.

In total, 80 firms from across the United States were named winners at the 2018 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

“To win an award in this highly competitive category is quite an achievement,” says Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards.

Deep River Partners’ interior designers Leslie Dohr, ASID; Natalie Erickson, ASID and architect Nicholas Mather, AIA designed the coastal themed condominium to include all the desires and needs of the homeowners.

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best work in fifteen general categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards are open to every professional remodeler and design professional in the United States.

Nicholas Mather, AIA, New Licensed Architect

Deep River is proud to announce that Nicholas Mather, AIA, passed the Architect Registration Exam (ARE) and is now a licensed architect in the State of Wisconsin. Nicholas’ path to licensure required him gaining an architectural degree from an accredited university, working with a supervising architect for several years, and passing a multi-part exam. The process is rigorous and requires dedication to be able to guard the safety, welfare, and public health. Congratulations to Nicholas!

Deep River Partners Honored with ASID Design Excellence Awards

Deep River Partners was honored by the American Society of Interior Designers – Wisconsin Chapter on March 8.  ASID holds its annual Design Excellence Awards to recognize interior designers and architects in the State of Wisconsin.  Deep River received the highest honor by receiving a Platinum Award for Entire Residence.  Only one of these awards was presented this year and Deep River appreciates the recognition for this project overlooking the Milwaukee River.  Additionally, the team received a Gold Award for Kitchen and Gold Award for Multifamily/Dormitories.  Congratulations to Founder Richard Sherer, Interior Designer Leslie Dohr, ASID; Interior Designer, Natalie Erickson, ASID; Architect Nick Blavat, AIA; and Design Associate Nick Mather.  These projects can be viewed under the Portfolio Section of the website.http://deep-river.com/project/renovations/kitchen-renovation-transitional   http://deep-river.com/project/greek-housing/sigma-kappa-sorority-house/   http://deep-river.com/project/renovations/kitchen-renovation-transitional/

Our collaborative studio culture encourages personal and professional growth and provides opportunities to work in the high end single family residential market. In assisting in the completion of schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration, the candidate will need:
 Ability to work within a small team environment effectively and demonstrate strong communication skills
 Knowledge of building components and detailing
 Ability to coordinate and integrate the work of structural, HVAC, lighting consultants and construction team
 CAD experience (Archicad a plus) and virtual modeling skills
 Post-production visualization skills (Photoshop)
 Specification writing skills
 Ability to manage and integrate product selections and put in schedule form
 Ability to do code research and document existing conditions
 Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines
 Bachelor’s in Architectural Sciences (Masters’ preferred)
 Licensure a plus
 Work experience a plus

Natalie Erickson, ASID, Earns Certification

Deep River Partners is pleased to announce that team member Natalie Erickson has received National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) credentials.   She is now a registered interior designer in the State of Wisconsin.

The requirements of the NCIDQ Examination cover seven areas of core competencies in interior design:  building systems, codes, construction standards, contract administration, design application, professional practice, and project coordination.  Passing the exam indicates the highest standard and benchmark of a professional interior designer.

Natalie brings the same level of dedication and attention to detail to her clients as she did to her studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she graduated with high honors.  She is also active in the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

Deep River Partners congratulates Natalie on this achievement.  Her passion for design and relationships with her clients are to be commended.

 

Nicholas Blavat, AIA, Elected Officer

Deep River Partners is pleased to announce that Nicholas Blavat, AIA, has been elected 2018 Secretary/Treasurer for the AIA (American Institute of Architects), Milwaukee Chapter.

Blavat has more than 20 years of experience in both commercial and residential architecture and has been recognized locally & nationally for his design achievement. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a Master’s degree in Architecture and is a licensed architect in Wisconsin.

Deep River Partners congratulates Blavat on his continued dedication to his field.  His collaborative design and expertise are highly valued by his team and clients.
